Easy Palak Paneer

Hello Friends...

Here's a simple recipe for Palak paneer.

Paneer:

Ingredients:

  • 200g paneer (cottage cheese), cubed
  • 250g fresh spinach (palak)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Blanch the spinach: Boil water and blanch the spinach for 2-3 minutes. Drain and transfer the spinach to a bowl of cold water to retain its color. Blend the blanched spinach into a smooth paste.

  2. Heat oil or ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.

  3. Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.

  4. Add green chilies, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes become soft and the oil starts to separate.

  5. Add the spinach puree and cook for a few minutes.

  6. Add cubed paneer and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  1. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. If you prefer a creamier consistency, you can add heavy cream at this stage.

  2. Cook for a few more minutes, and your Palak Paneer is ready to serve.

Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice. Enjoy your homemade Palak Paneer!
